Grūto parkas

Viena iš žymesnių vietų esanti netoli sodybos taip pat yra ir Grūto parkas.

Atkūrus Lietuvos nepriklausomybę, 1989-1991 metais daug sovietmečio ideologizuotų paminklų buvo demontuoti ir, nesant nustatytos saugojimo tvarkos, gulėjo sukrauti sandėliuose ir kiemuose, dažniausiai komunalinių įmonių teritorijose. Dėl demontuotų sovietmečio skulptūrų likimo būta įvairių nuomonių ir pasiūlymų. Sunaikinti? Saugoti? 1998 m. Kultūros ministerijos skelbtą konkursą demontuotų sovietinio laikotarpio paminklinių skulptūrų ekspozicijai įrengti laimėjo viešoji įstaiga "Hesonos klubas", įsikūrusi Grūte prie Druskininkų. Ekspozicijos rengimo darbai pradėti 1999 m. pradžioje. Grūto parkas oficialiai atidarytas 2001 metais balandžio 1 dieną.

Grūto parke paminklinės skulptūros išdėstytos dviejų kilometrų ilgio ekspozicijoje, kur sargybos bokšteliai, lagerių fragmentai ir kitos detalės primena Sibirą. Grūto parkas užima 20 ha plotą, čia eksponuojami 46-ių autorių 86 darbai. Tokia didelė paminklų ir ideologinio turinio skulptūrų sankaupa vienoje lauko ekspozicijoje yra retas, gal net unikalus reiškinys pasaulyje.
